More Health Issues...

So this morning I went to see the gastroenterologists due to several digestion and Irritable Bowel issues I have been having the past few months.
It is Pretty embarrassing discussing your gaseous, bowel and stomach disorders in full on detail to anyone but to make the Appointment more Mortifying then I can ever imagine is being called into the doctors office and finding that your dr is your age and extremely good looking...cripes...
Well with a little tone of hesitance to tell my ailments in full detail it looks like I have a lot of upcoming tests. He said my symptoms sound pretty bad and he assured me soon I will be feeling Much better.
This coming Monday I have to go in for Lab work and a Ultrasound on my abdomen and gull bladder.
On April 6Th I am scheduled to have a Endoscopy to check for acid damage on my esophagus and look for blockages.
The next option is a CAT SCAN if he does not find what he is suspecting on the endoscopy, blood work and ultrasound.
I got a RX for some acid reflux meds (which my insurance did not cover so I passed) and a HUGE bottle of Polyethylene Glycol (laxative).
With all this flushing of the pipes maybe at least I will lose a few pounds. Anyway wish me luck that it is nothing serious...

Good luck Iris. I hope it's nothing serious. In the meantime try to eat foods that are not so acidic maybe that will help alleviate some of the symptoms.

Be honest with your doctor that is the only way he can really help you! Also, a lot of the acid reflux meds you can get over the counter or ask your doctor if he can change your script to something the insurance will cover- it wouldn't be an unusual request for doctors to have that question!
