Just a Few rounds at Knott's

This morning we decided to go to Knott's for a couple hours cause tonight Gabe and I have a formal to go to at the Mason's Lodge later.
Our family loves to have fun and do stuff together on the weekends ..we will probably go back to Knott's tomorrow too!

Started off at Camp Snoopy..of course the red baron is the must first ride in the Camp to go on. Ava got the cool plane with Targets...she just went in circle on the bottom since she does not know how tho pull the stick back to make the plane fly...she does not seem to be too amused with this ride

Parker wanted to go on the Red Baron! I think he is just about Too big to go on this pretty soon

While Parker and Gabe explored the waterfall caverns Ava wanted to watch the homing Pigeons!

She just loves all animals!

We went on a few rides in Camp Snoopy. We rode the little roller coaster..which every time it would end Ava would cry cause she wanted it to keep going...we also did the little school bus and I was cracking up at Ava's face when it would drop she would smile when it would go up and her mouth would pull back when it would drop..so funny..she cried too after it was over..she just did not want to get off the rides. Parker and Gabe went on Lucy's tugboat..Ava was not big enough for this one so while Parker and Gabe went on this together ..Ava and i went to the candy shop where each kid got a rock candy loli and I bought a bag of sour balls for Gabe and I.

They had this little scrambler ride called the log cutter ..Parker was too big to go on it but AVA was in pure excitement for it. Here she is in motion with her Rock Candy Loli as her partner in crime.

Ride almost over..time to take in some sweet candy goodness...it did prevent her from crying when the ride stopped.

Gabe took the kids on the little truck ride..it was our last ride in Camp Snoopy then we split up in Fiesta Village..where Parker and I went on Jaguar and Gabe took Ava on the Merry Go Round.

We headed to Ghost Town and Checked out the ol cemetery then Parker and I went on the Pony Express Roller Coaster..LOVE THAT RIDE!

It was almost time for us to leave so we could take advantage of the Free Parking! So a quick Trip on the Knott's Berry Farm Train. Ava's face was Covered in dried up sugar so I went from Color photos to Sepia.besides they have a old west feel to them any way.

Parker and I even got a picture on the train.

I think this quick trip at Knott's earned a HIGH FIVE from Ava...excited to go back tomorrow!

It's that Time again!!

For the Annual Las Vegas Scooter Rally!!!
We have been to every single one EXCEPT the 2nd one cause I was in Labor!

Gabe and I actually considered not going this year but How could we not!! We always have thee greatest time.
We are splitting a room with our friends Josh and Vicki for the 4th year!
The first year we roomed together was when Vicki and I were both pregnant..it was nice cause while the boys did their scooter rally partying Vicki and I indulged in Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri's and Pregnancy massages at the spa and lots of naps and eating.
Since then we have had a blast rooming with them. This year we are staying at the Golden Nugget again in the new Rush Tower...It is So beautiful and the rooms are FANTASTIC!
Of course Vicki and I are going to book a Spa Date at the hotel as well. I think they have thee best Spa! For 130 dollars you get a massage,facial and manicure and use of the facilities all day! Last time we spent a lot of time in the Steam room with cold cucumber slices over our eyes and icy cold towels to cool off with. Then we lounged on their plush sofas with granola and cucumber and berry infused water and juice while we waited for our massages!
It's always nice to see old scooter friends from all over and have cocktails and dance and laugh and laugh....always some crazy Shenanigans.
We are going to try and see if someone will truck Gabe's scooter so Gabe and I can fly out this year. I don't mind driving to Vegas...something really exciting about driving there but the drive back is ..ughh NITEMARE!!
I guess if all else fails we can rent a truck or maybe hitch a ride with someone.
Anyway I am SO EXCITED!!
Hopefully our friends from Oregon are coming too. They usually meet up with everyone even though they are not scooterists themselves but we are all into the same music and culture and love doing kooky vintage Vegas stuff. This year we plan on going to the Neon Bone yard now that it is finally open to the public!
I am sure somewhere there will also be a couple of nice dinners and cocktail lounges to hit up...Maybe we will actually even RIDE the scooters...it seems every year it always Rains and we don't ride except for maybe one day even though we still always have fun!

Modern Tech= hours of fun for my kids

So Ava is picking up Parker's habits. It is really hard to get Parker to do anything but play games on computer and console..now that I have my Ipod Ava is hooked.
I downloaded some Apps though to help her learn. I got baby Flash cards that we play with together and she LOVES the baby Piano!

She gets SO upset when I take it away..

She loves to lounge in her chair and just play with the apps...she is actually learning quite a bit from it though. I have some Dr. Suess Books downloaded on it too that we can read together.

I figure if she wants to play on it so much might as well give her stuff that she is going to learn from too...

and this is where you will find Parker from 5-9pm every night..at least he does get his homework done.

Knott's Berry Farm 2011

So Gabe and I love Knott's Berry Farm alot. We love thee ol Western get up and the kids love love camp snoopy and ofcourse we all love the Berry farm Punch and Mrs. Knott's Chicken Pot Pies! Anyway For xmas I bought us all Annual Passes and I wanted to wait until the first to get them so Sunday we decided to use our passes for the first time.
We were not planning to stay long. Just enough for a couple Camp Snoopy rides and to look around. Ava was not feeling well ad it lingered on throughout the day..sometimes she was fine then other times she got rather strange.

There was NOBODY at the park! It was like we had the whole place to ourselves. When we got in Gabe rode on Ghostrider a few times before heading to camp Snoopy. We stopped along the way to watch the wild west show.

We had Ava extra bundled up and thought maybe thisplane ride would lift her spirits....she was NOT into it.

It started to rain so we decided let's go on the Merry Go Round a couple times...well I only rode once cause I got way to dizzy...I don't do well in spinning rides. Poor baby she did not feel well

After that ride Ava was much more happy and wanted to ride more and more.

It was raining too much throughout the day for me to take any more pictures but we left when it got to rainy. However we did mangae to go on quite a few rides. Parker went on the Pony Express Coaster ike 5 times in a row...Gabe and Parker also thought since they were wet already from the rain why not get more wet on the Rapids ride..well..we left after that...I can't wait to go back!

MORE TOYS!!!

Ava tends to get on these toy binges..she gets really interested in some types of toys..then Loses interests and then moves on to the next.... Well right now she is Really into the Littlest Pet Shops

We just got a new addition to our BLYTHE LPS collection! I wanted to save all the Blythe Edition play sets in the boxes but Ava has been feeling ill and nothing made her happy then to open all of them...

So I opened them all up and she has not stopped playing with them yet!. I am going to have Gabe build a display shelf in Ava's bedroom for them.

They are SO FRIGGEN CUTE I CAN'T STAND IT!!

I love this one...her little pet comes in a adorable purse carrier

AVA loves the spider pet from this Blythe set and will not let it out of sight...however Ava keeps taking the spider's hat off and then brings it to me whining to put it back on over and over and over...it's getting old..really

Ava loves the scooter one. She keeps putting stuff in the basket and driving it all around the house....Now I guess she can have her Blythe's in their scooter and her Strawberry Shortcake doll on her scooter and they can be scooter mates and rally all around the house!

Her Dollhouse is the next on her list to of most played with toy this week.

My dad bought this for her...Now I am on this crazy toys r us kick buying the room sets to go in the doll house

The doll house is so huge it has become a permanent fixture in the living room..

So I wonder next week what it will be........stay tuned!

NYE at the Homestead

Well we have finally come in to 2011! I am hoping this is going to be the best year yet..This year is the year that I will have a lot of credit cards paid off. I have a few that only have One payment left on them!
Anyway We were invited to several NYE parties but it was the first NYE in a long time that Gabe and I got to share it together. Usually he is working at the restaurant NYE. This year we thought it would just be a nice time to spend it together at home with the kids and that is just what we did..also though My brother and his GF celebrated the NY with us!
We had wine,and vodka for cocktails, and lots o champagne..ofcourse Pizza and chicken and treats along the way. Jessica just bought the board game Cranium and so we made it a GAME night. It was Gabe and I vs Alex and Jess. WE WON! Parker was the time keeper.

My brother and Jess. All night my brother was making that face...he was watching a lot of Fire Marshall Bill skits from In Living Color soo all night it was "LET ME SHOW YA SOMETHING"

Ava has been pretty lethargic throughout the week and was not feeling well last night. She did not want ANY clothes on at all...at least we got her to bust out a few smiles and a couple laughs

The Cranium Game was Thee best to play while dizzy with Champagne Bubbles floating in the head. We were having so much fun! I CANNOT WAIT to play it again. I landed on a color where I had to act out a place...so someone took this picture of me acting out ..something.... My brother was feeling tipsy..he thought Why not go for a ride on Ava's Coaster in the backyard....fool

This is his impersonation of the guys chasing the women on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland...He said when he was working at Shipwrecked (the haunted thing they do at the Queen Mary at Halloween time) That he and his friend would run pass the end of the hall in front of people doing their Pirates act...it is pretty funny to see them do.

After the game and a Pretty good Buzz from all the Vodka Limeades we been drinking ,we got prepared to bring out the party horns and take our small family party outside...Alex kept messing with his horn so much it broke...

He tore the paper off it and Jess was blowing one side while Alex had the piece in his mouth on the other side and it was Making this Hilarious sound...it was like the Charlie Brown cartoons when the teacher or the adults talk...I started laughing so hard I was crying my eye makeup off..Jess was crying of laughter too. I have not laughed that hard in a LONG TIME.

Everyone grab a glass of champagne..Parker had his glass of Sparkling Apple cider...Ava was crashed out already.

HAPPY NEW YEAR~~~ fireworks were going off like crazy in the neighborhood.

After having a few more servings of champagne we though let's ride Parker go cart...man oh man...it is quick!

My brother could not hold back any more..He HAD to ride the go cart for himself, then Jess wanted to be pulled on the skateboard behind him and then Parker was behind her on the smaller skateboard...yep a total circus train.

That was the last picture I took of the night cause my camera was finally dying and quite frankly it was almost 2am and I was dead tired. After this we sat a little bit and talked about NEW Years Resolutions and mine is to do more traveling in 2011 and of course be more health smart.

Well all in all it was a nice little NYE and none of us had hangovers..well Gabe said he had a little one but nothing some green tea can't fix. Happy New Years everyone!
