Scrapbook Expo 2012 aka Scrapbook Heaven!

This past Saturday was the Big Scrapbook Expo that I look so forward to every year however I have missed the last one because it happen to be the weekend that I was at the annual Vegas scooter rally. I am so happy that the rally was moved the following week so I could attend this years expo.

This year the expo was at the Anaheim Convention center (next door to Disneyland). It was convenient for me since I am a Disneyland passport holder I just parked at the Toy Story Lot across the street and walked over to the expo. I went by myself as I usually do the past few times I went. I like going solo cause I can cover more ground and take my time looking at things and doing some of the Make and Takes.
Inside when you first go in are all the Crop tables and upstairs were all the classes WHICH I was going to sign up for but since I am going to be traveling the next couple weeks I just had to much to do over the weekend.
I got there fairly early in the morning ( Wanted my free Door Gift) It was PACKED.
My first stop was the Eyelet and Brad booth. I love the brads! They had a few big Bins out full of brads and eyelets for 1.00 a piece. I only go to the expo for the BIG DEALS and to watch demo's on new products...which I think on my next Xmas list is to get a Cricket!
I love the display cards on what you can do with the brads. There were these little candy brads ..
and I love the little time pieces! Great for an heritage album!
I headed towards the Back because I find that is where all the big discounts are..This booth just about EVERYTHING was under 3.00. All stickers (including Jolees) 1.00, ALL 12x12 paper including pattern paper, glitter paper, metallic paper, velvet paper 25cents EACH, Pop Dots 1.00, rubber stamps 2.00..I got a lot of stuff at this booth!
I just LOVE this laser cut of the pirate stuff!
I went to a few other booths where I found Pattern paper for 10 cents a piece so I grab a bunch of that and then I notice this ribbon section..I am a sucker for Ribbon! I love to use it for boarders. They had SO many beautiful ribbon for 1.00 a spool!!
Here are a couple I picked out...I love the pink and Blue pom poms for baby shower. Lots of pinks for Ava's Album!
Another booth were everything was just about under 5.00.
and more Ribbon!! I would have bought SO MUCH more but I had to budget myself. PLUS I lost 20.00 bucks inside...grrr...I had fresh new crisp 20's and I think when I went to pay to get in the 20 I gave the cashier had the other 20 stuck to it...so I had to remove 20.00 bucks to my scrapbook budget...oh well you win some you lose some.
Anyway here is everything I got...Lots more paper then photographed
My glitter paper packs I got for a buck each
I love this paper ...so old fashioned with the red glittery bird cages and newspaper print
I love this for a 4th of July page..and it goes perfect for my little stickers of uncle SAM hats and fireworks
Look how cute this trick o treat paper is!!
I love these glittery pages..I may use these for a wedding album
a close up of the glitter
I got this glittery French page too...Don't know what I am going to use it for...Guess I have to go to Paris now....
How could I resist Paper with Scooters on it...I bought a STACK of these!
I love the flower paper for Matting and the Alphabet page for something to use with some School Days pages for the kids
I love the crows...I got this for Matting
I love this as well...don't know what it is but I have totally been into birds lately!
This is one of my FAVES! All the black parts are velvet! I already know too what I am using it for...Haunted Mansion for my Disneyland Scrapbook!
Just some more random paper..The Pink flowers are all pink Velvet  and the pink stripes
The navy stripes are all velvet as well

I love these Laser cut vines with pop up flowers and butterflies and lady bugs!!
I got these birds for either Spring or It's a Small World
I have SO many aquarium photos and stuff with FISH so stocking up
Maybe I can save this for some Knott's Photos or Disneyland Scrapbook of Big Thunder Ranch
I could not resist these baby animals ..
Ava love animal crackers and Milk
They had soo many awesome Sesame street stickers...wish I would have bought ALL the characters
I needed these for my fishing portion of our Camping trip last summer
 My spools I bought.
Had to get the bling letters
Love the wiener dog ribbon and the appliance ones for some baking pages
Then I bought some ribbon by the yard ( 50.cents a yard). I got some white pom poms for winter, Leopard print for Vegas, White lace for wedding, Glitter green for Spring and the black stuff for Halloween cause it looks like Spider webs.

I got some great links to for major discounted Scrapbook supplies as well from some of the vendors I met there.
Once I got home I started to get Gabe to pull down my scrapbook boxes up in the rafters of the garage. I got to get organized because I am going to start getting back into the routine of having scrap nights with the gals at my house on Fridays. I guess I better start getting my photos developed.

Fantastic Plastic!!

A couple weekends ago I decided to have a Tupperware Party...Mainly cause with all the cooking and buying my own spices, grains and pasta in bulk now I really need some NEW storage containers..and for me ONLY Tupperware storage containers I will use. I don't want that cheap crap that after awhile leaves my food tasting like plastic..and it STILL does not stay Air tight like Tupperware.
I figure I might as well have a party if I want to order lots of Tupperware and get it for a deal.
Anyway at my party a couple gals decided to book parties as well. My brothers girlfriend Jess wanted to host one at my house and last night was her party.

I ended up signing up to be a Tupperware consultant again! I got about 530 dollars worth of Tupperware for 119.00!!

Now I am not selling Tupperware because I need the extra cash...I am buying it to get product!
If I could get my cupboards to look like this

and my fridge to look like this
I would be a HAPPY CAMPER!!

I cannot WAIT to start doing parties. I just hope some of my friends will be willing to throw one. I mean the parties only need 3 people at the MIN and there is So many FUN themes such as BBQ, Margaritas and Salsa, Mommy and me , Wine and Cheese, Candy Making, Chips and Dips, Death By Chocolate..the possibilities are endless!
Tupperware parties have come a long way since the 50's! Besides just having wonderful food storage they have all kinds of fun kitchen gadgets. For example I ordered some Onion, tomato and cheese keepers. They are containers to store that Half cut up tomato or Onion rather than it be left in the fridge in wrap or like my husband does ..just sitting on the fridge shelf uncovered ..blehh
My first party is going to be a Mommy and Me party. What we do is we demo the Soup Mug and with the soup mug in just minutes in the microwave you can make Mini Cakes. So we are going to have a table set up for all the kiddies and make a bunch of mini cakes and let them decorate it with Tupperware items of course While tha mamas can make some Dips and use some of the product themselves.
I decided too that for all my parties I am going to dress up and wear my hostess Apron and be fancy...anything to make the party classic and interesting
In the next week or so I should be getting my website up and running and I hope I can sell..
I hope I can be successful at this too..It would be nice to make some extra income on top of getting FREE TUPPERWARE

Anyways if your ever interested Give me a Call!!

The New Playground

So for the past couple weeks ALL Parker has been talking about is the new playground that is going to be opening at Mayfair Park. I guess all the kids in school have been hyped up about it. Anyway yesterday when Gabe went to get Parker from School Parker Begged to please take him to the ribbon ceremony so of course cause this was HUGE for Parker off he went to the park.

Walking up it WAS a pretty big event. They had sponsors with goodie bags out, A actual ribbon cutting, Miss Long Beach was there, They had a little mini carnival going on as well that was all completely free!
They had a line of carnival games for the kids. Parker I think played all of them
He won this big blow up hammer thing and he got a goody bag from one of the sponsors.
Lots of kids battling it out with their blow up prizes
They even had lines for Face painting, Sand Art making, A clown ( SCARY ASS CLOWN) making balloon animals ( i love the little mermaid one this girl is holding in this photo.
 The playground was PACKED!
They even had balloons all over the playground equipment
The tire swing seemed to be the biggest hit!
There was free Popcorn and Cotton Candy as well
After awhile it was time to come back home. Gabe brought a cotton candy home for Ava when she got out of pre school. I cannot wait to take Ava to this playground. It is REALLY REALLY NICE!

Tid Bits of the 3 day weekend...

So I just had a very nice 3 day weekend. I had nothing major planned. Friday after I picked up Ava from Pre School I headed over to one of my favorite thrift stores to see if I would find any treasures for the upcoming vegas rally...and I ended up buying about 5 dresses. I got some nice things for Vegas. Friday just relaxed with the kids and hubby and watched tv.
I got these shoes at the thrift store as well. Nice little small heel pointy toes for Vegas!

Saturday morning we headed over to IHOP and got some pancakes. This IHOP was a trip. They ONLY play 80's music. It got us tapping our feet while we eat. It kind of liven things up. Parker was feeding Ava strawberries from his crepes!
After breakfast we headed to another thrift store cause I wanted to see if they had black gloves. At this thrift store they had this ice crusher from the 50's-60's that I been always on the fence about buying. Anyway that Sat all household items were 60 % off and it was there still so I HAD to buy it. It works great. I was telling Gabe that eventually I would love everything in my house to be from the Mid Century as far as Appliances go ..or really anything ( except my tv and computer of course).
This place always has TONS of vintage appliances. I did come across these little set of juice glasses. I was not too keen on the design..look more 70's-80's but they did bring back memories.
I love the perculator!!! Too bad all the attachments were not with it cause I am pretty sure I would have Bought it! That little ice tea dispenser I kinda like too!
After the thrift store it was off to drop off clothing to the tailor that I taking to Vegas. Needed a lot of stuff shortened up! Afterwards is was off to get a washer and dryer. The original plan was just to replace the dryer we had because Our dryer kept eating our clothes. I had to throw away SO many clothing because of holes in them and it made this god awful loud screech everytime it ran that you could hear for miles. We were not looking for something BRAND New just maybe a good used dryer. We found this warehouse in Garden Grove that sells refurbised washer and dryers. We went and looked around and I found this one WONDERFUL dryer..It is HUGE inside and a commercial dryer which is JUST what I was looking for. Anyway we ended up getting a washer as well. I had to lockup the dogs when they were delivered and installed. They were giving me such sad faces.
These are my NEW USED washer and dryer which work so fantastic and a nice breath of fresh Air compared to the old washer and dryer. There were some other really cool digital washer and dryers and front loading washer and dryer but I am not a huge fan of those. These are HUGE buckets and these two and I always have TON of laundry. Also the dryer has like a GAzillion settings...which I love!!!
Since it almost took all damn day to get the washer and dryer delivered and installed we missed the opprotunity to go to our friends housewarming party in San Diego which we were looking forward to going.
So later My brother and Jess came over and we went halfers to buy a new board game and bought some booze to make some drinks. We made these drinks called the Gravitron which we discovered were meant to be shots. It is Cotton Candy Vodka , Blue Curaco and Pineapple juice. So we drank those and Played Quelf all night!
Sunday morning I got up early and made a Huge breakfast for the fam and my brother and Jess since they stayed the night. We had waffles, eggs, bacon, potaoes and Mimosa's.  After breakfast we played another game of Quelf. The rest of the day I just relaxed since I have been under the weather for the past few days ( and Still) Sunday night Gabe made us a italian dinner of Carbionara and opened some red wine and we watched Mob Wives and then a netflix of Cinema Paradiso..WHICH was FRIGGEN 3 HOURS!!! It was good but they could have easily taken out about 45 minutes of slow parts.
 The Wine was Marvolus!
Gabe had his little kitty just on him relaxing
I was wondering at some point too why Ava was so quiet...Low and Behold she was in Parker's Bedroom with ALL the board games taken out and opened. At least one night a week if not evey other week My brother and Jess come over to do Board game night ..I guess Ava wants in on the action!
Then she got Quelf  ( the game we were playing all weekend) and Brought it in the living room cause she wanted to play.
Monday I had off but Gabe had to use my car to go to work so I got up and cooked us all breakfast and off he went to take Ava to the Y and Parker and I just stayed home all day. I was feeling sick all day long so I took it easy. I figured I would play with my nail polishes. I love nail Polish..I also now have a O.P.I. connection!! I just put in a huge order...cannot wait to get my new polishes!!
My how this gold glitter shines!
I laid in bed after awhile cause I just felt soo awful. I had all the dogs (foster) and cats in the bed with me and Parker was in the room with me too playing video games on the computer. This is Paco my foster trying to pick fleas off JT.
Anyway I also cut my bangs last night..My hair is a mess in this pix ..I did not flat Iron it and I had no sleep due to clogged irriatated sinuses and severe sore throat so you can see the bags under my eyes.
I just hope I am better before my trips!
Ok time to make a dr appt..I feel like Hell.......
