Last Sunday we took a family trip to the aquarium. Parker has been wanting to go so badly and we also had free kids tickets that were going to expire soon so off we went.

It was kind of a chilly day
Ava anxious to get in when we were in line to get our tickets..She kept pulling her bows out of her hair too...I loose so many bows.
We went first to check out the first exhibit
 Jelly Fish
We got to pet them..I guess they have their stingers too but the sting is too weak to penetrate a human touch..however you can feel a little something.
 They fascinate me

A Night at The Grove..

Last Friday I went to see a friend of Mine band open up for the B52's. It was nice cause the event was a dinner and show. The dinner was not complimentary..I mean you had to pay and all but it was so great to see his band finally play. We had a table which I sat with other friends and family of the band. We ordered a bottle of champagne and finsihed it by the time their set was done.

They are called Suedehead and sound alot like Elvis Costello, The Jam..very mod power pop.
They were so fantastic..they have some upcoming gigs such as Ink and Iron Festival, Coachella and going on tour with Floggy Molly.
They just completed a tour with Social D in November.
Chris...My friend is the Bass player name Mike..I met him when we worked on a stage Musical of Quadrophenia called..well QUAD. We hung with him after the their band played by the merchandise table where a few new Fans bought some of their LP's and waited for autographs.
The B52's...I have seen these guys play over and over again
I still enjoy them every time too
 Suedehead signing autographs
I told my friend ...just don't forget us peons when your big and Famous!

Happy 21st Jess!!

Last Wednesday was my brothers girlfriend Jessica's 21st birthday. For her birthday she had dinner reservations for Tokyo Hibachi. Tokyo Hibachi has been around for many years and I always wanted to go and finally was my chance to go.

It is so fun watching all the knife trickery that these guys do to prepare your food. He threw the raw egg in the air and sliced it open with his knife..really cool.
 Making the friend rice
He shaped it into a heart for Jess and put the knife under it to make it look like a beating heart then pulverized it and said Now Heart Attack
We wanted to see the trick they do with the onion rings when they catch them on fire but they were out of booze to flame it up so he stacked them and put soy sauce in the middle and the soy sauce started spurting up from the onion rings to still give that volcano look.
 MEAT!!
he than was flinging shrimp in the air for everyone to catch a piece in their mouth..Jess and Alex were the only ones that caught the shrimp in their mouths..I didn't try it.
They brought out a Budda with a Candle and sung Happy Birthday
Too bad she didn't get to keep the budda. We had such a great meal filled with tons of sparkling Saki..The dinner was pretty pricey at the end but Jess Step father paid for hers, my brother;s and My meals which was very generous!
A group photo..afterwards I took Jess in the convertible down to the biggest Dive bar I know ( The Hawaiian Room) for drinks and Karaoke!
My brother and Jess best friend Brittany and myself all had a great time singing karaoke and drinking. Here is a photo of Jess with her first cocktail in a bar!! All night long the bartender gave her shots..she even got a spanking from the bartender and so did myself and Alex. It was a rough long day at work the next day for me but it was a GREAT time!!
Happy 21st Jess!!

Tiki Oasis --Sunday - I bid you adieu...now lets SHOP!

Sunday morning we were in a rush to get home because it was Ava's Birthday and we were throwing her a little cake and ice cream get together with my parents and brother and his girlfriend so we got up and packed but thought to ourselves we didn't really take a look at what the vendors were selling cause we of course were too busy partying so we went and walked around a little first before we left.

They set up pretty early in the morning outside.
Step right up and get your custom Fez right here!
Nice carvings for your garden
Still people hanging by the pool..tiki Oasis actually had a full day Sunday but we had to leave it is usually a thur-mon event.
I had to check out of our hotel room..Gabe waited while I did that at the front desk
We went inside the shopping area as well
I really like the old fashion bathing suits they had for sale ..I think this swim suit Gabe has on suits him quite good.
So much stuff to look at
This water fall kinda reminds me of the place I got married at..don't mind the non make up and messy hair..hey it was a crazy weekend..
A nice man told Gabe to get in the picture as well..
Statues around the hotel you will find
The room that face the pool and stage

Here are some fun items below I saw at the booths
Instead of sugar Skulls here are Sugar Tiki's
Love the travel bag!!
I need to get more plants for around the house
Funny tiki plush backpack..I was so tempted to get this for Ava but it would probably give her the creeps
A lot of people that had rooms facing the pool and stage all decorated their balcony's
Tiki Mugs!!
Tiki Shirts
which way should I go...
This was fun for the kids .. they had these birds and tiki's and they talked to the kids and made jokes..it was like the enchanted tiki room..the kids were busting up laughing!
more tiki's
Ok time to go..it was of course a super sunny day!
Gabe told me get in the picture....blahh...I really needed my sunglasses!
So that ends our Tiki Oasis trip...there was so much other fun things of the weekend but it is just Something you will have to experience for yourselves.
Tiki Oasis is probably the most fun of all vacations I have had. I vow to never miss another one and I hope it last. This year will be the 12th year of tiki Oasis and the theme is a SPY theme.
Here is the link to be kept updated once tickets go on sale. This is an event not to miss and just like us once you go your gonna wonder why you have never been sooner!
