BOY SCOUT FEST!
I haven't been blogging cause I once again have lost my camera cord..I will be on the hunt for it tonight. Anyway over the weekend Parker stayed the night with his cousins James and Gavin and Andy took them all to some boy scout festival thing but I forget what it was called. He sent me all these great photos though. I am trying to find a troop in our area to sign Parker up in. The scouts are something I want both of my children to experience. I was a girl Scout and I loved it! Parker was in a after school Scouts program at his old school and we have been delayed on getting him signed up again. I think after this trip he really wants back in.

Mother's Day --8---@
Mother's Day I woke up to a plate of Waffles with Strawberries and Whipped Cream and a hot cup of coffee...I could wake up like that every morning.
Parker had made me some presents for Mother's day at School.
I got two cards and a Bag with a surprise!!
Queen for a day...that's nice!
I always get worried what Parker is going to write about me...who knows what the teacher may think. I remember he once had to write a story with a drawing and it was a mad face which was suppose to be me telling him to stop playing his video games..displayed for everyone at the Open House to see..Sheesh...
HAHAHA I love his drawings on the paper bag
The Wind cracks me up.
Inside the bag was some Lavender scented Homemade Bath salts...he added the blue coloring and the scent...I just hope I don't look like a Smurf when I exit the tub after using it. I asked him "Am I gonna turn blue after I use it??" he replied with a mischievous smile " I don't know??? Maybe.." hmmm??? Guess I will find out..
Gabe had to work for Mother's day and had to be there at 9am so I relaxed a bit and got myself and the kids ready and off we went to Knott's Berry Farm where I was to meet up with my parents and brother and his girlfriend. First of all I stopped at the Lakewood Mall and bought a few perfumes for my mom to give to her for Mother's day since I have a store card with them and had no money to buy her anything with my own cash at the moment. I got to Knott's with the kids and it was just us 3 for about an hour.

Later I finally met up with my parents and Brother and Jess and we all walked around and checked out a few buildings. We didn't do very many rides at all. We stopped at the ol Graveyard. My mom wanted me to take this picture..that is one Huge casket. Throughout the day at the park I gave my mom her perfumes one at a time to spread out the surprise.
Ava had a blast running all over the graves.
It was kinda cold yet Parker Still wanted to go on the rapids...Lucky for me I had a easy way NOT to have to go on it by staying outside with Ava while Parker ended up getting everyone else to ride with him...it turned to be a " I will go if you go, well I'll go if he goes and I'll go if she goes" situation.. I just waited off to the side and had my camera ready..LOL my brother's face in this photo cracks me up! Of course the girls got the wettest.
After lots more walking around we stopped to watch the Aztec Indian show and Gabe finally showed up to meet up with us but after the show my brother and parents left. We walked around for about an hour and Gabe and Parker got to go on a few rides then the park closed.

I love that we have annual passports for Knott's and Disneyland cause even when we are broke we can still go and enjoy ourselves at the parks.
It was a nice Mother's day.
Annual Pan American Festival
Every year ever since was a small child growing up in the Long Beach/Lakewood area ..Mayfair park in Lakewood always have during Mother's day weekend a Pan American festival. Basically it is all the local schools and clubs setting up booths and doing performances for the community. They always have a ton of Craft booths from local artists and a carnival. I remember throughout the years going with my parents as a small child to going there as a teenager with my friends to now going there with my own kids. It is amazing how time flies.
It was early Saturday morning and man was I broke this weekend. (May is always a bad time for us). However you don't need any money to get some exercise so like I said ..early Saturday morning my mom came over and said Let's go walk to Mayfair park and check out the crafts..so I shook off my slight hangover from Toni's treat to Happy Hour after work on Friday ..jumped in the shower and was getting ready to leave. Since I had no Money I was going to leave the kids at home so I would not disappoint them by letting them know I could not afford snacks and rides for them..Ava looked out the window sadly at my mom and I walking away so I turned around and put her in the jogger and took her with us while Gabe and Parker played computer games all morning..besides I am sure she could care less about the rides...they are quite intimidating after all.
As soon as we got closer to the Park you could smell all the food in the air and hear the screams in the background from the carnival rides. After looking at the crafts we walked over to look at the carnival rides. I love this Helter Skelter Slide (always think of the beginning of the Beatles Song)..when I was little this thing was like the biggest beast of a slide I have EVER SEEN and was terrified to ever go on it!
I really Hate carnival rides...they creep me out ...and this carnival seemed to have Every Spinning, vomit producing ,rickety carnival ride you could think of. I am sure if I brought Parker the only rides he would have wanted to go on would be the Helter Skelter and the Fun house...maybe the Ferris wheel.
My mom gave me a few bucks and we let Ava play a game where every kid is a winner..it is a fishing game..she won a small prize and choose the little green frog of course (she LOVES Frogs) afterwards we stopped at a Candy Apple booth and bought one for Parker and myself and a couple Popsicles and walked back home. It was a nice time. Hopefully next year I will have more money to spend on some of the beautiful crafts I saw for sale.

FINALLY
I finally bit the bullet and bought me a new phone. I always told myself I am gonna keep it simple with my phones and not worry about smart phones blah blah blah..well I got the Mytouch 4G smart phone and so far I am really digging it. It works SO much faster then my Ipod touch as far as Internet services goes. There is still a LOT to figure out on it but I am sure I will catch on.
I also bought Parker his first cell phone. Now that I have unlimited Internet service on the family plan my bill went from 95.00 to close to 130.00 a month...ughh I am thinking I have to eliminate something that I pay for monthly to make up for my new larger phone bill...think I am going to bid adieu to the Milkman...it was nice while it lasted.
The phone model pictured is the exact model I got..white and I am using the same screen background as well.

8 years and counting..

Yesterday was my 8th wedding anniversary. We didn't get to celebrate it though cause By the time I got home from work I had been greeted at the door with our crystal toasting flutes from our wedding all polished and filled with champagne and a quick toast and then he was off to work.
Toni was therer too she came over just as I got home to drop off a lovely bottle of pink champagne and a really cute Anniversary card. It was reallly nice. Since Gabe was heading out I made us a pitcher of a vodka Peach puree with a splash of club soda cocktail and we sat in the backyard and sipped on them while we watched Ava play in the sprinkler and Pool. Thelma came over to and we all sat outside in the warm evening and ate Pizza that Toni ordered.
I am so glad to have had my gal friends over cause to tell you the truth with it being a day to celebrate and the hubby not being around..I would have been sadden.
Anyway we are going to celebrate Friday night...can't wait to see what Gabe has in store!

Disney Strikes again
To Disneyland once again ( I tell ya I gotta get my money's worth with our Annual Passports) Sunday we went with the kids and it was a perfect sunny day.
I expected it to be really crowded because of the good weather but to my surprise it was not at all. We went on quite a few rides. Ava was even tall enough this time to go on the Matterhorn and she LOVED it. She is one fearless kid. She loves fast things. She always gets so mad too when the ride ends.
Of course as soon as we went on small world she was clapping saying Happy Happy Happy and trying to sing along. I love this tiger...I been thinking maybe I want a bold colorful tattoo of this Small world tiger!
My favorite of all the dolls on this ride.
So much fun and it was nice and cool inside!
We went to the petting zoo by the ranch restaurant. Ava just loves animals..she really liked this mini donkey.
But had the most fun with the goats.
I love how they ALL had bandannas on.
Ava had to stop and pet every goat.
This one was Parker's fave.
After the petting zoo our fast passes were ready for space mountain. We got the rider switch pass though since we had Ava ( she is WAY to small for this one nor would I subject her to this one..it is a little to wild I think for her) Parker has always been afraid of this ride (as you can see by the look on his face) However after he went on it with Gabe he went on it with me right after and yesterday he was telling Gabe "I want to go on space mountain again" I think he finally is outgrowing his fear of roller coasters.
We went into the Innovations building in Tomorrowland and looked at things and played games. Parker played this game only for like 2 minutes. He did do the computer thing that takes your picture and it shows you what you will look like as you age..Hahahaha He morphed into Gabe..HAHHAHA it was so funny..I wish I had taken a picture of it...I wanted to do Ava too but she was napping.
Dig this Tiki Lamp.
Kitchen of the Future
Parker liked this bed in the kids room. They had some pretty neat stuff. By the time we got out it was getting dark and we were getting hungry so we left. Man o Man do I love Disneyland.

Countdown to Mod's Mayday
Well it's May..time for Mods Mayday which there are a few this year. Saturday we went to the Countdown to Mod's Mayday. It was pretty fun.
We got there right before the band started. The Wooly Bandits were awesome. Just enough time to grab a cocktail and say hello to some friends. Gabe and I drank in the car before we went in..hahahah just like old times!
Hillarie and Jesse. I like how Hillaries dress matches the wall in the background.
We missed Michael's DJ set..booo...
Another band called the Odd Squad played later on..This guy was all over the place! Dancing in the crowd, on the stage, on the tables.
He got people kneeling on the floor waving their hands in the air...Hiram and I were joking with our friends DON'T DRINK THE KOOL AID
They brought out a drum which everyone was banging on...started to look like some weird cult following going on here.
Gabe and I were like..Umm we need another drink Stat this place is getting crazyyy.
Hanging out in the patio telling ghost stories with our friends..We took this picture of Hiram but really we were trying to get a picture of Sean's twin in the background LOL
Towards the end of the night it was time for some dancing..just as I was getting my groove on the lights turned on and it was over.
We lurched around the parking lot for a bit with our friends before we hit the road.
There was a San Gabriel Valley Vintage scooter ride the next day but we didn't make it..kinda bummed about that but we will be riding the scoots for Mod's Mayday. I can't believe it has been since 99 (when Mod's Mayday came back around) that I been doing these Mod's Mayday events. No matter what though nothing will compare to 99's event at Fais Do Do and the after party at The Farmer's daughter!

Friday's Pleasures~~
I been lagging a bit on my blogging cause it has been a busy work week. We have had our CFO in the office all week and then Friday our new CEO came to our offices whom we got to meet for the first time. It was a nice experience meeting the CEO we all went to a nice lunch at Gabe's restaurant after of meeting with him and Then my boss dropped me off with the new CEO to pick up his rental car. I had booked for him to have a Mustang convertible but they ended up not having it so it was bit of a pain.
We ended up getting him a new spyder. It was fun riding it with him back to the office. It was great weather too for a convertible.
I got home after the long busy day and had to set up for my pleasure party I was hosting. Lots of fun toys and spa items. I order me that head massage..we all got to put it on our heads to try..I can;t wait til I get it. I had lots of desserts and wine and champagne for everyone. A lot of people fell through but we still had a good group.
